Palette is an interactive tool and publication that enables users to explore and engage with creative play through the medium of makeup. Palette challenges what is traditionally considered as beautiful, right and good. Through creative interaction with the project users can play with make-up concepts and ideas in an imaginative way. Users learn by playing and making mistakes and enables users to move away from a cultural and gendered perspective of makeup to enable a new system of possibilities to emerge.
Jayna Ravji is a visual communicator and design thinker. She is passionate about interactive, tangible and editorial design. If you don’t find her behind a computer, she will be testing her creative hands working as a makeup artist for her friends and editorial campaigns.

The interactive tool is based on five elements of play theory- pleasure, curiosity, creativity, spontaneity, and sense of humour.
