Joe Norman

Tautoko aims to encourage natural reclamation of cities through fostering the growth of native species and providing the resources needed to establish ecosystems within privately owned spaces. This is a response to growing cities and shrinking habitats. If we are to continue expanding our cities and encroaching upon the remaining habitats, should we not allow, even provide support, for nature to reclaim the spaces we have deemed obsolete?
Inspired by the social and ecological responsibilities of designers, Joe aims to provide thoughtful responses through interventions in public and private spaces. His passion stems from the built environment with emerging interests in urban systems and questions of next generation cities.
