Information
This project focuses on photographing wave patterns and tidal currents using abstract analogue photography. The photographs were made by placing silver gelatin paper into the ocean at night time and using a flash to fix the image onto the paper. The resulting images have been made from a simple process and has captured an unseen aspect of our oceans.
Alice Ng is a photographer who enjoys to experiment with abstract analogue photography. Her practice includes solargrams, cyanotypes, pinholes and film and enjoys the simplicity of analogue techniques including the various ways they can be manipulated.

The images in this series capture the natural phenomena of wave patterns and tidal currents using abstract analogue photography.
